Add Comment Man accused of attempted sexual assault By Chris Paschenko The Daily news- Published January 4, 2012 LEAGUE CITY A father testified Tuesday he was in a state of shock after finding in his children’s bedroom a man police accused of burglarizing his home with the intent to sexually assault his daughter. Frank Benvenuto testified Robert Ronald Cast, 39, blocked the children’s door, but Benvenuto eventually talked his way in the room, finding it littered with broken glass. “What he was saying was, ‘You can’t possibly understand how badly I want that right now,’” Benvenuto said. “He was pointing to my daughter.” Prosecutor Xochitl Vandiver-Gaskin asked Benvenuto if Cast said anything else. “He divulged to me he had been watching her for two years, and that’s all he wanted,” Benvenuto said. |
